Wednesday 15th April marks the 20th Anniversary of the Hillsbrough disaster.

For those of you who dont know about the disaster 96 Liverpool football (soccer) supporters lost their lives through being crushed to death at Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsbrough stadium.

I am not a Liverpool football supporter but I am a football fan and often visit other grounds. I do not expect to loose my life when I watch a game, yet 20 years ago 96 people did. Its important that these people are never forgotton.

Liverpool Football Clubs motto is "You'll Never Walk Alone" with that in mind I have just penned the following poem in memory of the Hillsbrough 96:

I shed a tear
For my brothers of our peers
You died tragically that was clear
But your hearts live on without fear
You are our love and our dearly beloved
Im sure your in heaven with your throne
No more thorns as you'll never walk alone
